Here you will find various notes and thoughts relating to Drupal. Most of the items here are eventually submitted to the Drupal.org website and are here for discussion and brainstorming.

Right Brain - Left Brain

THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Setting up Drupal for Adsense Site Authentication

I have been working a bit lately with integrating Adsense into various sites that I maintain. Many of these sites are member only sites that require users to login to see content. Leveraging Adsense against this content has been troublesome until lately.

Hacking Adobe Photo Downloader from Bridge CS3

[img_assist|nid=25|title=Adobe Photo Downloader Dock Icon|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=141|height=170]I recently updated to the newest version of the Adobe Creative Suite and was pleasantly surprised by some of the great new features to be found in the whole range of Creative Suite CS3 applications.

One of the most impressive that filled a real hole in my digital asset management workflow was the new Adobe Photo Downloader software that comes bundled with Adobe Bridge CS3.

The Adobe Photo Downloader application will for many, solve the issue of how to handle moving photos from camera to computer and keeping things organized. The Photo Downloader will not only pull your photos from the camera, but will also perform several other key functions including the creation of date named folders, rename the files themselves, convert the images to DNG, make a backup copy and apply a meta data template to each file.

Asterisk - Opensource PBX System

Asterisk® is a complete IP PBX in software. It runs on a wide variety of operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and Sun Solaris and provides all of the features you would expect from a PBX including many advanced features that are often associated with high end (and high cost) proprietary PBXs. Asterisk® supports Voice over IP in many protocols, and can interoperate with almost all standards-based telephony equipment using relatively inexpensive hardware.

Study Notes

In an effort to better organize my various interests and areas of study, I have setup this book section. Each of the sub sections will outline my goal for that subject, my current level of understanding for that subject and any notes or thoughts.

If you would like to comment on any of my thoughts or notes, please feel free.

The First Blog Entry

Ok, so I have finally cut out my own little piece of real estate on the web.

After 7 official business web sites, unknown numbers of "Member Profiles" and almost 10 years of constantly fiddling with one web entity or another, I finally have settled on this site as the final resting place for all of my thoughts, creations and rants.

Here is a short list of the types of things you will find at TMG Studio.
